Mom’s Pecan Pie


Pecan Pie,so good it is creamy and crunchy at the same time. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and you got the best treat ever

This recipe has been passed down from several generations

and won several blue ribbons. This is a family recipe, been used in our family for over 75 years.


1 stick butter, softened

4 eggs

1 cup sugar

1 tbsp. flour

1 cup white corn syrup

1 tsp. vanilla

1/2 tsp. corn meal

3 tbsp. heavy cream or milk

beat eggs with whisk ( just to break up for easy mixing. DO NOT us mixer

Add  butter, corn syrup, sugar, flour and cornmeal & vanilla. Whish it all together and place pecans in bottom of unbaked pie shell  pour filling over pecans, Bake 400 for 15 min. turn oven down to 350 and bake 45 min. to 1 hour. Baking time will depend on your oven. check it at 30 min. it is done when it is  slightly firm to the touch. I hope your family will enjoy as much as mine.♥
