8 to 10 med. apples
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ginger
2 cups apple cider
Wash apples (do not peel unless you want to.)
Cut apples in pieces to fit into food processor. pulse a few times to break apples up into small pcs some will be a little chunky.
Add apple cider to apples in saucepan and add spices and cook until apples have thicken and most all the liquid has cooked out.. Pour into sterilized jars and process or pour into a bowl. I made mine for Christmas breakfast, to go with homemade shredded potato cake. So good, my son made these for Christmas and they were a big hit. goes so well with the apple butter.
