Banana Nut Bread


My mom made this recipe a lot, seems we always had banana bread. It smells so good baking and mom would always slice us a piece as soon as it come out of the oven and spread sound good cow butter on it and it was so good. A loaf always makes a good gift also.


1 Stick butter softened

1 cup sugar

2 eggs Slightly beaten

4 bananas mashed

2 cups all purpose flour

1 tsp soda

1/4 cup buttermilk

1 cup chopped walnuts

 Mix dry ingredients  together.

Mix wet ingredients together and fold in to the dry mix together > Do Not Over Mix  or will be tough.

Heat oven to 325 and bake 40 to 50 minutes until toothpick inserted comes out clean

Will make one lg. loaf or two 8 in. pans
