Country Braised Pork Chops


6 boneless pork chops

Salt and pepper pork chops.

In very hot iron skillet brown pork chops on both sides and take out let rest, now add

1 chopped onion and 1clove minced  (or more if you like)

Sauté chopped onions and 1 clove garlic which has been minced,

to the skillet add a few splashes of red wine vinegar to deglaze and get all the goodness of bottom of skillet

Add chops back to skillet and add enough beef broth or water to come 1/2 way of your chops. Cover the skillet tightly so steam won’t escape and bake in oven heated at 350 and bake 30 minutes then turn oven down to 300 degrees and bake until fork tender or you can turn oven to 250 and cook even slower for very very tender chops. This also is good prepared the same way cooked in a crock pot, I love the crock pot method for boneless skinless cuts of meat ,because of the tenderness.  Oven works good on low heat
