Rub softened butter under the skin and all over outside ( helps to keep it moist and brown beautifully)
Make your rub to rub on top of butter.
1 tbsp. ground sage
1 tbsb. dry rosemary
Salt and pepper
Inside of turkey I add 1 lemon cut in half
1 orange cut in half
2 bay leafs
2 sprigs rosemary
2 stalks celery
1 tsp. paprika (Rub this on top of your butter make a tent with foil to go over top)
Other spices you might like are Garlic powder, Onion Powder, smoked paprika, ( make it your on)
You can add or take away this recipe.
NOTE: You can add or take away any of the recipe, true is you can rub this bird in butter add salt and pepper a couple bay leafs. And it will be delicious. It is all about presentation
Tips: Bake turkey until temperature reaches170 in the breast area, away from bone. In the fat part of thigh, should be 180 degrees
Very important to let you turkey rest after you take out of oven. Cover and let rest for 20 minutes before slicing.
NO1 IT will finish its cooking while resting
No 2 It will soak up the juices while resting
No 3 It will be easier to slice and it be ever so delicious ♥
