Caramel Apple Cake

Caramel apple cobbler
1 box yellow cake mix
2 cans apple pie filling
1 jar caramel
1 stick butter
Butter 9×13 pan
Pour apple pie filling in
On top put the DRY cake mix
Then drizzle caramel over.
Pour melted butter throughout.
Bake 350 for 45 minutes

Vanilla Bean Paste


I found this little treasure at Wal Mart last week and I love it.  It can be used  in place of vanilla beans which are quite expensive.  I have used it for several things here in the last week and I am very happy with it.It gives a very vanilla taste and aroma, I  had a new bottle of imitation vanilla I had on hand, I  experimented with, so I add I tablespoon of vanilla paste to the bottle of imitation and it really boosted the flavor. I add 1/4 tsp. to a bowl of fresh whipped cream for my strawberry pie last night and it had the most amazing flavor, just like I scraped a vanilla bean.

So you can use 1 tablespoon of this vanilla bean paste to equal 1 vanilla bean. I just thought it was a neat find and wanted to share. I hope you all will have a fantastic day. come back and visit Mary’s Country Kitchen anytime ,it is always open.

Yummy Strawberry Pie


  Yummy Strawberry pie just like my Mom made , It is such an easy recipe and why make one when you can make two


Strawberry Pie
6 Tablespoons cornstarch
2 cup sugar
3 cups water
2–3 oz box strawberry Jell-O
4 cups sliced strawberries
2 Pre-bake a 10″ pie shell

Line bottom of pie shell with the sliced strawberries. Combine cornstarch, sugar and water in small saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add the Jell-O and stir until dissolved. Pour over the strawberries and refrigerate until set. Serve with whipped cream.

Reeses Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake


This is my moms yummy chocolate cake recipe. My go to chocolate cake always good and always light & moist

It is good with any icing you can think of to ice it with.

Preheat oven to 350. grease and flour  your cake pans

Chocolate Cake Recipe

2 cups sugar

2 cups self rising flour

1 tsp. soda

3 tablespoons cocoa + 2 tsp. dark cocoa (gives it a richer chocolate yummy flavor)

1/2 cup water

3/4 stick butter ,softened

3/4 cup oil

3 eggs

1 cup buttermilk

2 tsp. pure vanilla

Mix all dry ingredients together with a whisk

Whisk together soften butter, eggs, water, oil, buttermilk and vanilla.

Dump wet into dry and mix with mixer until well blended,without over beating

Bake in 3 — 8″ or 3 — 9″ pans, or a 9×12 pan for about 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven

Icing Recipe

16 oz. bag powdered sugar

1 stick butter, softened

1/2 cup peanut Butter (More it you like)

4 to 5 tablespoons milk

1 tsp. pure vanilla

1 bag Resses Peanut Butter cups (coarsely chopped) 

Ice cake when cool, frost bottom layer and add some of the chopped Peanut Butter Cups on top of icing and add second layer and repeat. Let cool and set for about 30 min. before slicing if you can. Enjoy
